Ms. Fryer from Law, whose students have attended the Hibakusha Stories program for many years, and I were invited to participate in the UN's program on Nuclear Disarmament on Election Day this year. We received a tour of the UN, including the room where the Security Council meets, ate lunch in the UN cafeteria, and spent time learning about the UN's mission and how that aligns with Hibakusha Stories and their quest for peace and nuclear disarmament. It was really amazing to be in the building and be surrounded by so many incredible people and artifacts. We were also able to secure the date for our Hibakusha Stories presentation that day.
In addition to PD, CLN allows me to create a Personal Learning Network of librarians who share their best practices, gave the library access to LibGuides and EasyBib School Edition and provides the library with hundreds of new books for free each year.
